Vivo India recently roped in actor Aamir Khan as the brand ambassador for Vivo V9 and has been teasing the same on social media from past few days. Actor Ranveer Singh was the brand ambassador for last year’s Vivo V7 Plus smartphone.

Today, at an event in Mumbai, Vivo took wraps of the V9 smartphone. Vivo V9 sports a 6.3 inch FULL HD+ edge to edge display with a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. It is powered by an Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU.

The trend of smartphones sporting a Notch is catching up and the same goes with Vivo V9. One of the main highlight of the Vivo V9 is the Notch to the top. Yes, you read it right. This smartphone sports a notch to the top to achieve a whopping 90% screen to body ratio. The bezels are just 1.75mm thin.

There is 4GB RAM and 64GB storage on this smartphone and it can be further expanded to 256GB via MicroSD card.

In the camera department, there is a 24MP selfie camera which comes with many camera modes including the AI powered Face Beauty Mode and Stickers. The selfie camera has an aperture of f/2.0 and the rear camera is a dual lens setup. The primary lens is 16MP sensor and the secondary lens is a 5MP sensor. The rear cameras also sport f/2.0 aperture. The camera comes with a new Artificial Intelligence Bokeh mode ( AI Bokeh mode ) which should help in taking portrait shots.

Vivo V9 is priced at Rs.22,990 and will be available starting at April 2
