OLA’s Premium Sedan Category, OLA Prime has been very popular since its launch. They upped the game by launching OLA Prime Play (multimedia enabled cab) in March 2017 in Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. Now, Prime Play Cab is live in Chennai city.
Prime Play cab category was not visible in the app at the time of writing the article but what I got to know was, OLA is testing Prime Play in Chennai. I was lucky to experience it today and the whole process was surprising. I booked a Prime Sedan cab and it was automatically upgraded to Prime Play. The fares remain the same as normal Prime Sedan cab.
OLA Prime Play and its features:
OLA Prime Play is an advanced connected car platform. The cab has an experience console in the rear seat which gives you access to tons of multimedia content. Some of the features that you can experience in OLA Prime Play are
- Ability to control movies, music from OLA App in the phone
- Track your cab right from the provided display.
- Watch latest Movies, TV Shows and more
- Listen to Music and Tune into Radio Stations
- Stay Connected to Free Wifi
Apple has partnered with OLA for Apple Music on Prime Play. Other entertainment partners include Sony Liv, AIB, Audio Compass and Fynd.
Note that I am an OLA Select Member. OLA is gradually rolling out Prime Play to users. It will be available to all users soon.
